Oh how things change! I have always loved being a New Hampshire Newborn Photographer but I will definitely tell you that newborn sessions are SO much work! I compare it to doing a nice long session of Hot Yoga! When I first started doing newborn photography I focused solely on the new baby. Lots of props, tons of blankets and tons of pictures of the sweet little one posed perfectly. I love those pictures and I continue to do them with each of my newborn sessions but one thing I’ve learned the longer I do this is that the family memories are the ones that are the most important to capture. They are the ones the families will really look back on and treasure so I’ve shifted my focus a bit and am really taking the time to include the whole family in the newborn session and I am certainly loving the way it’s turning out!
This family was the PERFECT family for our session. You may remember them from the lifestyle session a few months ago. Harrison is one of my favorite children to photograph and I’m thinking Tessa will be right up there too! There is so much love in this family and it’s contagious! Tessa’s mom is an amazing newborn prop maker so of course we got some of those in this session. I LOVE them and you should definitely head over to her shop and check her out!
